The Florida house where the bodies of Oluwatoyin Salau, 19, and a 75-year-old woman were found has been pictured for the first time.
Aaron Glee Jr., 49, was identified by police as a suspect after the bodies of Black Lives Matter activist Toyin, and 75-year-old Victoria Sims were found at his rented home in Tallahassee on Saturday night after they went missing.
The dilapidated rented property is located in a wooded area on Monday Road. During an investigation of their disappearance, information led police to Glee’s home in southeast Tallahassee, where both women were discovered.
Glee, 49, had fled to Orlando on a bus before the police arrived at his home, the department said. He was arrested early Sunday by the Orlando Police Department, court records show.
On Tuesday, he was charged with murder and kidnapping, the Tallahassee Police Department said.
Glee was out on bail at the time of their killings.
Court records show Glee was arrested in Leon County for aggravated battery on May 30 and was released on June 1 on a $2,500 bond. He was also accused of battery in connection with a May 28 incident and charges were filed on June 9. Toyin went missing after she tweeted about being sexually assaulted by a black man who offered her a ride when she was stranded after the Black Lives Matter protest.
The Nigerian race activist took part in a Black Lives Matter demonstration in the Tallahassee area on June 6. She was last seen in a CCTV footage on June 10 at about 7:03 pm at Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida.

Parents have accused Atlantic Hall School of “bullying” after the institution allegedly imposed a monthly fee of N195,000 per child for online classes and threatened parents who refused to comply.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, schools have remained closed and a number of schools are teaching kids online at a subsidized fee.
Atlantic Hall School, Poka, in Epe, Lagos, through its Educational Trust Council, reportedly introduced a monthly fee of N195,000 per student for online classes. However, some parents objected to the fee and questioned how the school arrived at that amount.
The parents signed a petition and sent to the Council, asking for answers but they were allegedly told that “the amount was decided after engagement with a consultant who advises that that was the best amount.”
Parents requested to have other consultants compare both figures but the council members reportedly objected and insisted on the fee of 195,000 Naira per month for each child.
Subsequently, the Principal of Atlantic Hall wrote a letter to the parents who signed the petition to inform them that they will have to withdraw their children from the school if they are not willing to pay the monthly fee.
In the letter obtained by LIB, Andrew Jedras, the Principal and CEO of the school, told the parents: “We would therefore suggest that you find a school perhaps better suited to your requirements and specifications. This the Board feels is both the appropriate solution and in the interest of your child’s continuing education which should be conducted in a school where you have greater confidence in their organization, policies, and procedures.”
The principal continued in the letter, “We sincerely hope that your child(ren) will be happy at their new school and that you will also find an educational environment more conducive to your requirements?” Parents who received the letter said this action is tantamount to bullying.
A concerned parent said: “This seems like bullying as the implication is all parents would have to always agree with the decisions of the Council or risk having their children removed from the school.
“In the real sense, Atlantic Hall is taking steps to expel the children of parents who complained about an unjustified imposition of fees. Parents and their children should not be punished for demanding explanation.”
Parents also alleged that a “very high ranking member of the Council was removed simply because he disagreed with the Council’s fees decision.”
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has criticized the federal government’s report which attributed 50-60 percent of the 979 unexplained deaths in Kano state to COVID-19.
Reacting to the Minister of Health, Ehanire Osagie’s comment of Coronavirus being the cause of most deaths recorded in Kano weeks ago, Ganduje said a verbal autopsy conducted by the state countered the claim.
He insisted that the federal government’s report is “misleading” as the verbal autopsy revealed that only 15.9% of the strange deaths were related to COVID-19.
Ganduje said;
“The report of the Federal government showing 60 percent dying from COVID-19 lacks all the variables, lacks correlations, it did not pass the time of basic validity and reliability, signifying nothing and misleading everybody.
“This report, which was scientifically conducted, has put to rest all postulations, predictions, permutations and all hues cries about the mysterious deaths.
“When I went through the literature review, I understood how good the findings are.
“A retrospective study of mortalities was conducted over approximately 2-weeks (27th April – 15th May 2020); across 8 metropolitan LGAs (Gwale, Fagge, Tarauni, Kumbotso, Ungogo, Nassarawa, Kano Municipal and Dala).
“COVID-19 might have contributed in 15.9 % of the cases of mortality but within the limitations of the verbal autopsy method that cannot provide confirmation.
“Some deaths may be related to disruption of medical care and socio-economic activities due to fear of contracting COVID-19, which usually happen during epidemics.
“If the mysterious deaths were COVID-19 related, the deaths could have come more from local governments that have more COVID-19 cases.
“Tarauni local government for example, with 100 confirmed COVID-19 cases is the 1st in pandemic ranking, but in the mysterious deaths it is rated 7th.”
The Kano state Governor promised to pass on the report to the President Muhammadu Buhari, Boss Mustapha, chairman of the presidential task force on COVD-19, and the minister of health Ehanire Osagie.

As the community continues to mourn the deaths of two women, activists and celebrities took to social media to advocate for justice.
The bodies of Oluwatoyin “Toyin” Salau, 19, and Victoria “Vicki” Sims, 75, were found Saturday at the same location in Tallahassee after police used GPS to track Sims’ cellphone. It is unclear whether or not the women knew each other before their deaths.
Aaron Glee Jr. was arrested Sunday in the Orlando, Florida, area, hours after the women’s bodies were discovered inside and near his home, according to court records released Tuesday. He was charged with felony murder and kidnapping.
Two petitions have received nearly 400,000 signatures. One of them, created by Hana Bangura of New York, was aimed at the Tallahassee Police Department and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to further investigate Salau’s death. It has gone viral as celebrities including Academy Award winner and former NFL wide receiver Matthew Cherry and rapper Yung Baby Tate have shared them on Twitter.
Senator Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), actress Alyssa Milano, George Floyd family attorney Ben Crump and “Moonlight” director Barry Jenkins also have expressed their support for justice in the disappearance and death of the activist.
Salau was reported missing June 6 and Sims was reported missing June 11. It’s unknown exactly when they died.
Here’s what we know about their deaths and the suspect:
Who is Oluwatoyin Salau?
Salau was an activist who was found dead Saturday night.
She was affiliated with Movement 850, which describes itself as “student leaders and community residents working together to demand justice and policy change” for police reform in Tallahassee. She spoke at recent protests and spent her final days carrying signs that pleaded for justice in the wake of Black lives lost.
“Those lives may be lost, but we cannot be scared,” Salau said last month, during a protest in front of the Tallahassee Police Department. “You are angry and it’s OK to be angry.”
In a series of tweets that were sent on the afternoon of June 6, Salau talked about a man who molested her earlier that day. She said the man offered her a ride back to a church where she had been staying.
On June 9, Tallahassee police posted on social media a missing persons flier for Salau, saying she was last seen June 6 in an area about a quarter mile from where she tweeted she was picked up for a ride and later sexually assaulted.
Meanwhile, the Kearney Center, a homeless shelter, reported that Salau sought help June 8 and was given phone numbers for people who could directly help her seek emergency shelter. They have no record of her trying to get in touch with those case managers.
Who is Vicki Sims?
Police say Sims was last seen June 11. Police reported her missing June 13 after a neighbor went to check on Sims and found the front door to her apartment ajar. Her home is about a mile from the area Salau said she was sexually assaulted.
Officers found her home ransacked, burglarized and her car missing, police confirmed in an update Tuesday. Friends and family mentioned she occasionally gave rides to a man named Aaron, who lived on Monday Road.
Sims was a retired state worker, grandmother and volunteer who was well-known for her work in local Democratic politics.
In a statement released Sunday, Dave Bruns, spokesman for AARP, said, “Vicki worked tirelessly to improve the lives of others – as a dedicated advocate for older Americans; a committed volunteer for AARP, Second Harvest Food Bank of the Big Bend and other community causes; a devoted mother and grandmother; and a passionate, fully-engaged citizen, helping our nation to achieve its highest ideals.”
Suspect Aaron Glee Jr. arrested
Glee Jr., 49, was arrested early Sunday morning in Orlando on a warrant for murder, according to jail records.
The arrest came hours after police descended on his dilapidated home on Monday Road on Saturday night, when police found Salau and Sims’ bodies on the property.
According to jail records, the original charge against Glee was kidnapping with intent to terrorize.
Glee was also arrested May 29, on separate aggravated battery charges after an officer spotted him kicking a woman in the stomach, according to police reports. After, the woman told police she had rejected a sexual advance from Glee, who had become angry. The victim in that case was neither Sims nor Salau.
Salau’s description of the alleged abuser that she posted to Twitter and provided to police before disappearing doesn’t match Glee Jr.

Cellphone trace leads to bodies Court documents released Tuesday say police ran a trace on Sims’ cellphone. When they arrived at Glee Jr.’s house, they found Sims’ white Toyota, stuck in mud.
“It appeared as though the driver was attempting to drive north of the stopping location, but was unsuccessful,” court documents say. “There was a white sheet covering the rear of the vehicle, including the license plate. The license plate was bent upward, as though attempting to conceal the vehicle’s identity.”
Officers knocked on the door, but no one answered. Concerned Sims was inside and in danger, they broke in. They found Sims’ body in a bedroom, covered with a white blanket that was soaked with blood. Her wrists and ankles were bound behind her back, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Officers and a police dog found Salau’s body covered in leaves, about 200 feet northeast of the house.
Glee is being held in the Orange County Jail in Orlando. It’s not clear when he will be transported to Tallahassee for his first court appearance.
The Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a staff of First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Philips Orumade, for allegedly stealing the sum of N18,900,000 from the bank.
EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale said in a statement to Independent on Tuesday that Orumade, who was said to be in charge of ATM gallery keys at Aduwawa branch of the bank , on November 3 , 2019 allegedly disappeared with the said amount and efforts to trace him proved abortive.
According to the bank, the suspect was captured by the CCTV footage, walking into the ATM gallery, before using a nylon bag to cover the CCTV.
The suspect has been on the run and was recently apprehended in Lagos.
He has made useful statements and will soon be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
We Will Sue Obaseki For Forgery If PDP Fields Him As Its Candidate
Oshiomhole, who described the governor’s resignation from the APC as “good radiance to bad rubbish,” said the party would take Obaseki to court over the alleged discrepancies in academic qualifications
Fortunate enough, it was the PDP that exposed him in 2016. PDP filed a case at the Federal High Court amplifying every forgery segments in his certificate. APC just managed to escape that because PDP filed out of time and the case was struck out.
Now, the case has life, so, when they field him, we will be at the court to adopt what PDP filed before the court against him with additional evidence we now have against him. So, we can’t wait to have PDP field him as their candidate. So far, we are good, we will soon separate the boys from the men. He has had a good day abusing, saying half truths against me, that’s fine.”
According to the APC national chairman, “Obaseki has that democratic right to leave or join any party of his choice. It is his right to leave APC, there is no compulsory membership of a party. A political party is a voluntary association. If you want to stay, you stay, if you want to leave, you leave. He has exercised that democratic right. However, from my point of view, it is a good radiance to bad rubbish.”
He explained that the issue of the governor’s disqualification from contesting under the APC was about his certificate.
“When you forged a certificate like you saw in the case of Bayelsa State, where we won an election, and on account of irregularities on the certificate of our candidate, we lost out at the Supreme Court level. Only a foolish political party will not, with due attention meticulously, screen those who want to contest election on the platform of the party.”
